Fertility

For some couples getting pregnant isn’t easy. In fact at least 1 in 6 couples will experience difficulties with fertility at some point in their lives. If you’ve been trying to get pregnant for 12 months with no success (or 6 months for women over 35 years) then you may require some assistance.

Difficulties with fertility may occur for many reasons including polycystic ovarian syndrome, endometriosis, abnormal sperm count, or you being single or in a same sex relationship.

As a gynaecologist Dr Hugo is uniquely placed to manage your fertility needs. Whilst many issues may be managed through his rooms, other problems may require surgical intervention including the advanced keyhole surgery that Dr Hugo specialises in. If further fertility treatment (such as IVF & IUI) is required, then Dr Hugo can manage you through the internationally renowned Monash IVF.

Dr Hugo knows personally of the challenges of having children and is committed to helping you create your family. He has presented his ongoing research in the area of Adenomyosis/Endometriosis and Infertility internationally and has completed a Masters in Human Reproduction at UNSW. He is also an active member of The Fertility Society of Australia.
